Why we exist

AI is everywhere, shaping how we live and work. We believe it should help people stay in control of their choices, build real connections, and pursue long‑term goals. Autonomy, relationships, and purpose are the foundations of a meaningful life. Ascending AI builds tools that strengthen all three. We deeply believe in this mission and invested €5m of our own capital to stay initially independent and focused on building what matters most.

We’re starting with a product that helps people map their relationships and spot communication patterns, immediate value that makes daily life clearer and more intentional. This is also the foundation for a broader suite of tools designed to protect autonomy, strengthen connections, and support long-term goals.

We are not looking for someone to polish screens. We are looking for a product designer who sees interaction as insight, visual systems as emotion, and interface as a way to help people feel and reflect.

You will:

• Design the core interface for our first product.
• Create clear, expressive ways to show relationship health, emotional balance and communication patterns.
• Work directly with founders and engineers from concept to launch.
• Prototype quickly and test in real contexts.
• Shape the visual tone and interaction language from the ground up.

• Have strong and proven visual and interaction design skills across layout, flow, motion and clarity.
• Have designed and shipped full product experiences, ideally from zero to one.
• Ideally have experience with consumer products, gamification, virality etc.
• Are used to create in a quick release cycle.
• Are curious about human communication, psychology and self-awareness.

• You will define how the product looks, feels and flows.
• You will help create a space people return to with trust and intention.
• You will join a stable company with EUR 5m of funding.
• We have the ambition to become a big AI company with a global impact.
• You will work in a small team, side-by-side with the founders and colleagues in both product and tech.
• You will have exposure to state-of-the-art AI developments.
• You will build systems designed to serve humanity, not just making some process

This is a remote or hybrid role. We work primarily in the Central European time zone and expect candidates to be within ±3 hours of CET to keep alignment and syncs tight.
