Technology Lead​/Senior Java Application Architect

We are seeking an experienced Technology Lead with strong hands‑on expertise in Java‑based application development and modern web technologies. The role combines technical leadership, architecture, development and production support within an Agile (SAFe) delivery environment.

You will be responsible for designing, developing and supporting scalable enterprise applications, contributing to sprint delivery, and supporting critical production incidents when required.

Application Development & Architecture

• Design, develop and maintain enterprise applications using Java, Spring MVC and Spring Boot
• Lead hands‑on development activities while providing architectural guidance to the team
• Develop RESTful APIs and microservices‑based solutions
• Ensure high‑quality, scalable and maintainable code aligned with best practices

Technology Leadership

• Act as Technology Lead for development initiatives across web and backend platforms
• Guide development teams through complex technical challenges
• Support architectural decisions and ensure alignment with enterprise standards

Agile Delivery

• Work within a SAFe Agile environment, contributing to sprint planning, development and delivery
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters and cross‑functional teams
• Balance regular sprint development with support responsibilities when required

Production Support & Incident Management

• Provide senior‑level support for critical production incidents (P3 and major incidents)
• Participate in root cause analysis and implementation of long‑term fixes
• Support L2/L3 application support teams and escalation management

Core Technical Skills

• Strong experience with Java application development
• Hands‑on expertise in:
• Java Spring MVC
• Spring Boot
• REST API development
• Microservices architecture
• Experience developing web applications and backend services

Frontend & UI (Advantageous)

• Angular
  
  JS (1.x)
• Java Script
• Node.js
• HTML, CSS3
• Cross‑platform and hybrid development (e.g. React Native, Cordova / Phone Gap)

Cloud & Platform (Advantageous)

• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS
• Exposure to Swagger, Apache Spark, SQL/ITL and regression testing

• Experience working in SAFe Agile environments
• Senior‑level experience supporting critical and major production incidents
• Experience balancing development responsibilities with support and incident resolution
• Understanding of application lifecycle management and production stability

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to lead technical discussions and mentor team members
• Hands‑on, proactive and solution‑oriented approach
• Comfortable working in high‑pressure environments during incident situations
