Freelance Global Ecommerce Content Excellence Manager (ZZP)
We are seeking a highly skilled Global Ecommerce Content Excellence Manager for a fixed term assignment to strengthen global ecommerce content quality, governance, and operational execution. This role will be part of our Omnichannel Digital Excellence team and is accountable for delivering best‑in‑class master content, ensuring consistent activation across markets, and driving continuous improvement in Brand Store, PDP, and A+ content performance.
The ideal candidate brings hands‑on Ecommerce experience, strong content operations expertise, and a data‑driven approach to scaling content excellence across regions.
Key Responsibilities:1. Content Governance & Best Practice Development (50%)
- Develop and maintain global playbooks, style guides, and guardrails for English master content.
- Define execution standards for PDPs, A+ content, and Brand Stores to ensure quality and consistency across all markets.
- Enable and support markets in localizing and deploying content accurately and efficiently.
- Partner with the SEO Manager to embed best‑in‑class SEO principles into all master content.
- Collaborate with Business teams to ensure:
Master content meets expectations and evolves continuously;
Ways of working and end‑to‑end workflows are efficient, scalable, and consistently adopted. - Serve as a key point of contact for our external content agency, ensuring alignment on deliverables and driving timely issue resolution, including identifying root causes and structural improvements to strengthen processes and content quality.
- Work with Omnichannel Excellence colleagues to ensure alignment of master content with Philips‑owned channels (e.g., ), and drive synergies between owned‑channel requirements and eRetail content needs. This includes identifying opportunities for content reuse, streamlining cross‑channel briefing, and enabling more efficient production cycles for global and local teams.
- Own the KPI framework to measure ecommerce content performance across markets and platforms.
- Analyze KPIs, shopper behavior, and competitive content to identify improvement opportunities.
- Translate insights into clear actions to enhance conversion, engagement, and execution quality.
- Share cross‑market learnings to drive continuous improvement and consistency at scale.
- Oversee the use and governance of content tooling and syndication platforms used to publish content to retail partners.
- Manage relationships with syndication vendors, including contract oversight, platform updates, and roadmap alignment.
- Ensure teams maximize tooling capabilities and leverage new features to improve accuracy, efficiency, and speed‑to‑market.
- Support markets in troubleshooting issues in collaboration with vendors and internal teams.
- Ensure tooling workflows remain compliant with regulatory, legal, and brand standards.
- Drive adoption and capability building across teams to ensure consistent and effective use of syndication tools.
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in Ecommerce and in managing content for online retail platforms.
- Direct experience with Amazon.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Economics or a related subject.
- Strong understanding of ecommerce content formats and standards (PDPs, A+, Brand Stores, SEO).
- Proven experience working with agencies and cross‑functional global teams.
- Experience in leading Ecommerce projects in fast‑paced environments or with renowned Ecommerce brands.
- Strong analytical skills and a track record of deriving insights that drive content performance.
- Experience with content syndication platforms and retailer content tools.
- Exceptional communication, project management, and stakeholder‑management skills.
Hybrid way of working, 3 days in Amsterdam.
