Machine Learning Intern

Our 10-week internship programme in Amsterdam offers you the opportunity to experience life as a Machine Learning Intern ing the internship, you will explore the proprietary trading landscape through classroom-based learning, work on a meaningful project, and build a network with IMC traders and engineers. You will receive support from dedicated trainers and a one-on-one mentor, along with a competitive compensation package, fully-furnished accommodation, catered meals, and an immersive experience of IMC’s collaborative culture.

YOUR CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accelerate training of ML trading models in a distributed environment
• Automate ML workflows, evaluate experiments, tune hyperparameters (auto
  
  ML), and manage retraining to assist traders
• Improve our GPU hardware cluster, data pipeline design, and leverage libraries such as GPUDirect & DALI
• Develop next-generation ML-driven trading strategies
• Participate in workshops, trainings, and social activities with the internship cohort

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

• Currently pursuing a MSc in machine learning, statistics, deep learning, probabilistic programming, or a related field, with expected graduation in 2026 or 2027
• Experience with ML frameworks like PyTorch and Jax
• Proficient in Python; C++ experience is highly desirable
• Possess publications in reputable journals on deep learning, GNNs, or time-series models (preferred)
• Genuine interest in financial markets (no prior experience required)
• Available to start the internship on June 22, 2026
