We are seeking to appoint an experienced and well-qualified Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team at Rookwood School and work across the schools with the Inspired Learning Group.
Rookwood School is a successful non-selective co‑educational independent school located a short walk from the picturesque market town of Andover, Hampshire. With a new Sixth Form, we are the only independent ‘all‑through’ school in the Andover area, educating from the age of 2 to 18.
The role of the Maintenance Technician will work under the supervision of the Area Maintenance Manager providing general site maintenance and assistance with projects across the school sites in the area. Working independently or as part of a team to help achieve the overall aims of the School.
In your role as Maintenance Technician, you will need to be able to work as part of a team and independently. Our maintenance work is a mix of planned and unplanned work, and we sometimes have to change what we are doing at short notice, to respond to weather related issues for example, to make sure that the School is able to continue to teach and support our children.
We would like to hear from you if you have experience in the building trade, and can use these skills to work across every facet of Rookwood Schools site.
Roles and Responsibilities- Carry out maintenance work, including but not limited to:
Painting, Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry and Turf Care. - Establish effective working relationships and set a good example through your personal presentation and personal and professional conduct.
