Practice Nurse – Andover, Hampshire

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Practice Nurse to join a friendly, supportive, and forward-thinking GP practice in Andover, Hampshire. This role is ideal for a nurse who is passionate about high-quality patient care, enjoys working collaboratively, and wants to make a meaningful impact within the local community.

You will be part of a close-knit, welcoming clinical team providing care to over 11,000 patients. Ongoing support is built into the role, including bi-weekly meetings with the Clinical Lead, ensuring you feel supported, valued, and continuously developed.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, patient-centred nursing care
Undertake treatment room duties including:
Chronic disease management (particularly Asthma and COPD)
Immunisations and vaccinations
Health screening and health promotion
Support and contribute to the audit and development of clinical standards
Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and patient-focused environment
Assist in the development and delivery of health promotion programmes and screening clinics
Ensure the safe storage and administration of medicines and clinical equipment
Provide advice and clinical support to patients face-to-face and via telephone
Actively participate in team meetings to promote best practice
About You

Registered General Nurse with current UK NMC registration
Previous primary care / general practice experience
Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD)
Strong clinical decision-making and critical thinking skills
Adaptable, proactive, and confident working in a changing healthcare environment
Good understanding of local and national healthcare policies
Confident using IT systems (EMIS Web experience desirable)
Competent with Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
Essential Requirements

Current UK NMC registration
Primary care experience
Evidence of ongoing CPD
