Description We are hiring for our client, an established organisation in County Antrim, who are seeking a Financial Controller to lead their finance function. This Financial Controller role offers the opportunity to manage a high-performing team while driving excellence across all financial operations. Working closely with senior leadership, the successful Financial Controller will oversee the full finance function, ensuring robust controls, effective reporting, and continued improvements across processes and systems.

The Role

  • Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring strong performance and continued development
  • Manage all activities of the finance function, including financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting
  • Oversee month-end and year-end processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Maintain and strengthen internal financial controls and procedures
  • Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors
  • Drive continuous improvements to processes, systems, and reporting

The Person

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in a senior finance role, ideally with responsibility for team leadership
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident managing end-to-end finance operations in a busy environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively cross-functionally
  • Solution-focused mindset with an interest in improving processes and controls
