MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting a SHEQ Advisor for our client, a leading organisation within the commercial fit-out and construction sector, based in Antrim. This is a key role responsible for supporting and improving Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality standards across live construction projects throughout the UK and Ireland.
Key Responsibilities Conduct regular site inspections and audits, identifying hazards, unsafe practices and areas for improvement. Advise operational teams on RAMS, Construction Phase Plans, risk assessments and legislative compliance. Support incident investigations, toolbox talks, site inductions and SHEQ training. Maintain and continually improve ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems. Undertake internal audits and support external certification and surveillance audits.
Monitor environmental controls, including waste management, recycling, pollution prevention, dust and noise. Produce inspection and audit reports, track corrective actions and ensure improvements are implemented. Work closely with project teams and subcontractors to promote best practice and maintain high SHEQ standards. Requirements Proven experience in a SHEQ role within construction or a related industry. NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification.
Strong knowledge of construction health and safety legislation and practical risk management. Experience conducting site inspections, audits and reviewing RAMS and risk assessments. Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems. Strong communication and organisational skills, with the confidence to challenge and influence site teams. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK and Ireland.
