Butcher - Antrim

The Role

Sofina Foods is looking for an experienced Butcher to join our team. Your primary focus will be to carry out skilled butchery activities to meet both customer and company needs, while providing excellent customer engagement through advice, recommendations, and assistance.

This is a great opportunity for someone with proven butchery experience and a passion for delivering quality products and service.

• Prepare a variety of meat cuts in line with customer and company specifications
• Greet and serve customers in a professional and approachable manner
• Provide advice and product knowledge to assist customers with their purchases
• Prepare and maintain counter and pre-pack areas to a high standard
• Carry out product sampling to promote sales
• Undertake stock rotation and ensure accurate labelling
• Receive deliveries and complete the required paperwork
• Distribute promotional and special offer materials
• Maintain excellent hygiene standards through general cleaning duties

• Previous retail butchery experience (essential)
• Proven excellence in customer service
• Determination to drive sales and achieve targets
• Knowledge of legal requirements and procedures within butchery/retail
• Ability to support, train, and guide new team members
• Flexibility to work varied hours and meet deadlines
• Confidence to act professionally in support of the store manager when required
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure
• A proactive approach with the ability to work on your own initiative
• A genuine interest in building a long‑term career within the trade
