Abbey Vet Clinic in Arbroath is looking for an experienced small animal veterinary surgeon to join our friendly and supportive team on a permanent basis. This role is ideal for a clinician ready to take on more responsibility, mentor recent graduates, and continue developing their own skills in a well-established practice. You’ll have clinical freedom, a varied caseload, and opportunities to specialise.
Salary up to £65,000 DOE, Welcome Bonus up to £5,000 plus Relocation Allowance up to £5,000. The role offers a flexible work pattern and a 40-hour week over a 4/5 day schedule with Saturday mornings on an equal rota. No OOH requirement.
We work closely with Cats Protection, running a dedicated cat clinic, and collaborate with our sister practice Robson Vets in Laurencekirk who are also recruiting.
What you’ll be stepping intoTwo well-established branches in Arbroath and Forfar with modern facilities, including iM3 dental machines, digital radiology, and IDEXX biochemistry and haematology equipment. A brand-new dental x-ray machine has been installed in the Arbroath branch to enhance dentistry services. The caseload includes a mix of medical and surgical cases such as routine neuterings, pyometras, lump removals, GI foreign bodies, and dentistry. We support developing areas of interest and certificate study.
