As an Employment Specialist, you will directly implement this vision by serving others through state agency-approved vocational and transition services. We are seeking dedicated, results-driven professionals to work one-on-one with clients with developmental and physical disabilities. Your primary mission is to empower clients to find meaningful employment and provide the strategic, ongoing support necessary for them to thrive in the workplace.

By conducting targeted meetings, partnering with local employers, and cultivating deep professional relationships, you will help clients achieve their vocational goals and grow both socially and professionally.

Duties & Responsibilities

  Coaching:
  
  Provide high-quality, one-on-one professional guidance to individuals with developmental and physical disabilities.
• Goal Alignment:
  Conduct structured, regular assessments to identify clients' unique skills, assets, and long-term career goals.
• Workforce Preparation:
  Equip clients with essential job-search techniques, including resume development and interview preparation.
• Employer Partnerships:
  Proactively collaborate and partner with local businesses to identify hiring needs and facilitate successful job placements.
• Market Outreach:
  Actively assist clients in securing employment through applications, strategic professional networking, and community outreach.
• Retention Support:
  Provide exceptional, on-the-job advocacy and ongoing guidance to ensure lasting workplace success and true independence for our clients.

Requirements & Experience

• Travel:
  This position requires consistent travel in the field to meet with clients and partner employers. Candidates must be comfortable traveling up to one hour away.
• Education:
  
  A college degree or professional certificates in Education, Management, Ministry, or a related field are preferred.
• Certifications:
  
  Professional credentials, specialized training certificates, religious licenses, or academic transcripts showing relevant class training are highly valued.
• Experience:
  
  1-3 years of proven success (paid or unpaid) in similar fields.

  Skills:
  
  Self-motivated and disciplined to manage an ever-changing schedule without direct supervision. Exceptional public speaking, negotiation, written reporting, and mobile/Google Workspace app software skills required.
• Schedule &
  
  Location:
  
  Full-time W-2 hybrid position expecting 35 to 40 hours worked per week (scheduled around GVRA office hours, Monday-Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM) combining home administration with field canvassing and client meetings.
• Operational Requirements:
  Position begins with a 90-day probationary period. Employment is "at-will" and contingent upon a clear federal background check, state credential approval, and successful interview with JTSG leadership.

Compensation

• $6,000 New Territory Signing Bonus (disbursed in structured payouts over your first 90 days)
• $10.00 / billable hour (covers direct client coaching, case management, employer canvassing, and required administrative paperwork)
• $2,000 / month fixed expense stipend (to cover field travel and regional canvassing)
• Realistic annual earnings for full-time performance range between $40,000 - $45,000+, with uncapped growth potential as you expand your caseload and billable impact.

  Real-time logging of billable hours and case updates submitted directly through our mobile application.
• Full Time W-2 employment, covered under company liability insurance while performing job responsibilities.
