Open for over 18 years , we are proud to be a well-established, award-winning venue, recently named Best Restaurant in our Region . Our beautiful setting, loyal clientele, and commitment to exceptional food and service make San Giovanni a truly special place to work.
We are now seeking an experienced and dedicated Restaurant Floor Manager to support our management team in the day-to-day running of our busy restaurant. This is a key leadership role within our front-of-house operation and a fantastic opportunity for the right individual to take on a new challenge in a respected and successful business.
About the RoleYou will play a vital role in ensuring our guests receive an outstanding dining experience while maintaining our high standards of service, quality, and professionalism. The restaurant is open 7 days a week from midday , therefore evening and weekend availability is essential .
Key Responsibilities- Deliver exceptional customer service and interact confidently with our clientele
- Lead, manage, and motivate the front-of-house team on a daily basis
- Efficiently manage busy footfall during service
- Operate EPOS till systems and handle cash and card payments
- Daily use of Open Table reservations, including email and telephone bookings
- Support ordering processes (wine, linen, and other supplies)
- Organise staff rotas and front-of-house coverage to meet business needs
- Act as a key holder for the premises
- Cash up and complete end-of-day procedures
- Train and support new team members
- Handle customer requests and resolve any issues professionally
- Liaise closely with the kitchen team to ensure food quality and presentation standards are met
- Minimum 5 years experience in a professional restaurant environment
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Reliable, trustworthy, and highly motivated
- Calm under pressure with excellent organisational skills
- Confident using reservation and till systems
- Passionate about hospitality and guest satisfaction
- Driving is advantageous
- Competitive salary starting from £35,000 , dependent on experience
