Eco Guardian is expanding in a big way. Later this year, we will open our first Canadian manufacturing facility in Aurora, Ontario, producing sustainable cups, bowls, and other food service products. To support this launch, we are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to establish and lead our Quality Department.
Why this role mattersThis position is central to our success as we enter Canadian manufacturing. You will design and implement the systems that ensure our products meet the highest standards of food safety and sustainability. From building our Quality Manual to leading audits and certifications, you will lay the foundation for how Eco Guardian delivers trust, safety, and quality to our customers.
Key responsibilities- Develop and implement the full Quality Management System, including policies, procedures, and standards
- Lead all certification programs, including SQF, ISO 14001, HACCP, GMP, and Ecovadis
- Oversee internal and external audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance for food safety and quality standards
- Build, train, and mentor a quality-driven team with a strong culture of accountability and excellence
- Partner with cross-functional teams to embed quality practices into daily operations
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in quality assurance within food manufacturing or packaging
- Strong technical knowledge of Quality Management Systems, HACCP, GMP, and ISO standards
- Proven ability to lead, train, and develop teams while collaborating across departments
- A proactive and detail-oriented approach, with strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing certification processes and external audits
