Key Rotations: Procurement, Manufacturing, Supply Chain (Flavour Solutions & Consumer) & Engineering

Procurement
  • Directly owning spend categories to create a sourcing strategy and drive value
  • Working with Category Heads to drive Strategy in the region by engaging stakeholders and owning key elements of the strategy delivery
  • Working with stakeholders across multiple functions to make a positive difference to procurement’s value add to the business – e.g., operations, logistics, marketing, finance, to influence and drive positive changes and decisions
  • Owning change projects with our supply base that will make a big difference to how we manage our external spend, increasing efficiency and/or reduce complexity
Manufacturing
  • Working with the Operations Management team, to develop key operational and best-practice skills within the food manufacturing environment
  • Experiencing the role of Team Leader from time-to-time, to help you develop and grow as an individual and attain the skills required for the next level of management
  • Supporting the Team Leader in prioritizing the activities of the team, driving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Identifying Continuous Improvement projects and working with cross-functional teams using best-practice manufacturing techniques such as LEAN, Kaizen and SMED techniques
  • Adhering to Health & Safety practices, using our behavioural safety programme ‘Dupont Safestart’, and ensuring your team operates within our ‘safe systems of work’
Supply Chain
  • Full ownership and management of a small portfolio of finished goods or materials including planning, communication and issue resolution with supply chain, operations, procurement, suppliers, and the customer in a timely and accurate manner
  • Manage a supply chain project working cross functionally to deliver a cost/ time benefit to the business.
  • Learn and explore new systems / reports to leverage new information for the planning team
  • Undertake an end-to-end value stream mapping of the co-packing supply chain initially focused on the UK market with the potential to extend across Europe
  • Identify opportunities to optimise the supply chain from a cost, service and agility perspective. The scope includes NPD, promotions and standard skus with product supply from France, Poland, UK and external co-manufacturing
  • Assess the opportunities and make recommendations for eliminating co-packing activities – examples may be ensuring the product is made in the factories shelf ready, in-housing the external co-packing activities, etc
Engineering
  • Development of a small scale CCI/ Quality improvement project
  • Supporting ongoing commissioning activities of process / packaging lines on site
  • Coordination of x-functional teams on project execution for small scale projects/ tests/ trials
  • Rotations will also offer the opportunity to experience routine maintenance in a plant environment

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
  • Current students or recent graduates with a predicted or achieved 2:1 (Upper Second Class Honours) or above
  • Demonstration of commercial acumen, desire to work in an international business and corporate environment
