Commercial Manager

Position: Commercial Manager (Permanent)
Are you an experienced Commercial Manager looking to join a growing, design‑led fit‑out specialist? We're partnering with an established interiors contractor delivering a mix of commercial office and laboratory refurbishment projects across the Oxford-Reading region, with additional work in Cambridge.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a client‑facing, fast‑paced environment, with strong commercial oversight across multiple projects.

The Role

As the Commercial Manager, you will take full commercial responsibility for multiple fit‑out projects, ensuring profitability, compliance, and best‑in‑class commercial governance across the business. You will work closely with the senior leadership team, project managers, and clients to deliver high‑quality interiors schemes.

Key responsibilities:

Oversee commercial performance across several live projects
Manage cost plans, valuations, variations, and final accounts
Ensure accurate forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting
Work closely with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
Support tendering, procurement, and contract negotiation
Drive commercial strategy and contribute to business growth
Ensure compliance with company and industry standards

Experience Required

Proven experience as a Commercial Manager, Senior QS, or Commercial Lead
Background in laboratory fit‑out strongly preferred - high‑spec office fit‑out experience also considered
Excellent commercial, contractual, and financial understanding
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Confident communicator with strong client‑facing skills
Experience working in the Oxford/Reading region beneficial
