Job Overview

• Protect our customers' property, people, and assets by providing security services in accordance with the site's Assignment Instructions (AI) and any subsequent changes.
• Deliver results that meet or exceed the Key Performance Indicators / Service Level Agreement for the customer, thereby supporting contract retention.
• Undertake additional training to ensure continuous self‑development.

Main Duties

• Ensure compliance with all policies, legal and regulatory requirements, as directed by the Security Account Manager and UK law.
• Fully and satisfactorily complete all tasks and duties on site as outlined in the Assignment Instructions.
• Review the Assignment Instructions proactively and suggest amendments to improve service levels.
• Maintain industry and statutory licences (Security Guarding or Door Supervision licence, CCTV PSS SIA Licence) at all times; renew licences 16 weeks before expiry.
• Comply with legal obligations and safety requirements of the role.
• Follow instructions and procedures appropriately without unnecessarily challenging authority.
• Work systematically, methodically and orderly.

• Fully and satisfactorily complete all required competency training.
• Undertake additional training directed by the Security Account Manager to ensure continuous self‑development.
• Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop job knowledge through continual professional development.

• Look out for and immediately report any Health & Safety hazards or potential hazards on site.
• Stay alert to threats or changes within the work environment to reduce the chance of disruption, loss or damage.
• Use common sense and initiative by immediately involving others if a situation appears threatening.
• Maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations and challenging customers.
• Complete an accurate, detailed notebook entry promptly after any incident for use in the Incident Report process.
• Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the Client.
• Ensure check calls are carried out at the allocated time slot as stipulated in the Assignment Instructions.
• Call emergency services and the Communication Centre to report all incidents.
