We are recruiting a Project Technician to join the team on a full‑time, permanent basis based in the south of the UK. The role works within the Projects team – Modernisations and Installations – coordinating activities, resources, and tasks that relate to a specific project and ensuring job costs are kept within quoted parameters and providing progress reports to the Project Manager.
Successful candidate must be willing to travel and stay overnight as required.
- Deliver site‑based projects in a hands‑on capacity.
- Conduct project‑related tasks independently and support the Project Manager in daily tasks and take responsibility in their absence.
- Lead sub‑projects under supervision of the Project Manager.
- Assist in the preparation of Safety Documentation (SSOW, SSA, RAMS, Lift Planning) and receive training as required.
- Ensure the site team has all necessary resources to enable the project to be carried out successfully.
- Meet with the project team (Technicians & Field Supervisors), ensuring that each team member understands their responsibilities and accountabilities.
- Manage vendor relationships, relaying information between project management and the client.
- Coordinate queries and raise points of concern to appropriate stakeholders, monitoring resolution and updating all involved.
- Carry out day‑to‑day project coordination activities, analyse and improve current ways of working wherever possible.
- Electrically or mechanically qualified.
- Experience involving engineering projects.
- IOSH qualified (preferred).
- Willing and able to travel (and stay overnight) throughout the south of the UK when required.
- IT skills such as MS Office.
- Ability to work independently and adapt if problems occur.
