As Project Manager Factory Investments
, you will lead multi-million, high-impact CAPEX projects focused on factory optimization and implementing cutting-edge manufacturing technologies. You will play a key role in developing our production sites in Switzerland and abroad, driving advancements in automation, digitalization, and operational excellence within a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing setup. Your work will help us improve our operations and support a more sustainable future.
With your project management expertise, entrepreneurial mindset, strong result orientation, and technical know-how, you will guide cross-functional teams from concept to handover, ensuring high-quality, on-time, and on-budget execution. Your efforts will safeguard stable operations and enhance our long-term competitiveness.
You will join the Value Chain organization in Baden, reporting to the Teamlead Value Chain Investments, and collaborate with factory leadership and technical experts globally.
Your responsibilities:- Lead complex factory optimization and investment projects (CAPEX 2–10M CHF), ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality execution.
- Develop expertise in production processes to drive innovation, automation, and digitalization—balancing productivity and operational stability.
- Manage global, cross-functional teams through all project stages, from initiation to handover.
- Build and lead high-performance project teams, establish governance, and coordinate work packages.
- Act as a trusted partner to internal stakeholders—maintaining strong communication, dialogue, and service excellence.
- Develop relationships with external partners such as suppliers, universities, and technology providers.
- Identify and recommend emerging technologies and innovative processes to improve factory operations.
- Promote knowledge sharing and best practices across the company; continually improve project management techniques and tools.
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Automation, Production Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- >3 years of proven project management experience leading complex CAPEX projects with understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
- Hands-on experience in machinery or metal manufacturing, ideally with advanced technologies (e.g., milling, grinding).
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management at all levels.
- Entrepreneurial, pragmatic, results-driven mindset.
- Financial literacy to evaluate data and build business cases.
- Analytical, proactive, and solution-oriented working style.
- Motivated team player with curiosity and drive to learn.
- Fluent in English and German (spoken and written).
