We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fabrics Data Architect to join our Analytics & Data department within the IT organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the Microsoft Fabric data lakehouse architecture to support efficient reporting and analytics. Fabric will be built as one of the strategic reporting backbones enabling IT‑managed as well as self‑service reporting.
This role requires a deep understanding of data modeling, Microsoft Fabric architecture, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams. The Fabrics Data Architect will report to the Fabrics & Power
BI Team Lead.
- Design, build, and maintain the Microsoft Fabric data lakehouse to enable efficient reporting for both IT‑provided and self‑service reports.
- Define and enforce data modeling standards for the Fabric lakehouse to ensure consistency, scalability, and performance.
- Collaborate with Power App development teams to standardize and enhance data modeling practices across the organization.
- Develop and maintain the overall Microsoft Fabric architecture, ensuring alignment with organizational data strategy and governance.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in designing and maintaining data lakehouse architectures, preferably within Microsoft Fabric.
- Strong understanding of normalized and denormalized database structures and data modeling best practices.
- Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams, including Power App developers and business stakeholders.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to architect scalable and efficient data solutions.
- Strong communication and documentation skills to support governance and knowledge sharing.
- Knowledge of the English language.
