Network Engineer - Cloud Operations (Siemens Healthineers)

We are looking for a Network Engineer to support our Managed Services global business. The role focuses on operational practices and support for the operations, maintenance and refinement of our public and private Cloud environments and services.

• Provide network operations and support for cloud solutions (private, public, hybrid).
• Assist in upgrading, installing and configuring cloud solutions including monitoring, application access, security and Palo Alto Networks, Citrix Net Scaler/ADC.
• Assist with reporting on current infrastructure status and planning future usage.
• Configure and support backbone connections over Express Route (Azure) and direct connection/VPN architecture.
• Maintain allocation of IP CIDR blocks and perform network maintenance (subnets, VLANs, routes).
• Verify and act on events from network monitoring tools and Web Application Firewall.
• Troubleshoot, determine root cause of issues and resolve outages.
• Collaborate on projects, create, update and complete documentation, and generate incident reports.
• Act as a technical mentor and provide the highest level of customer service.
• Escalate support requests to vendor and telco providers in a timely manner.
• Apply network system updates, patches, configuration changes and plan network layouts.
• Serve as on‑call support and work North American business hours.

• Degree in Computer Science or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• 5‑7 years of experience supporting and managing networks in an enterprise cloud environment.
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, ARP, routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, MPLS), VLAN, STP, subnetting and CIDR.
• Experience with WAN, VPN (MPLS, SD‑WAN, IPsec, SSL VPN) and Microsoft Express Route.
• Hands‑on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls, routers, switches, load balancers and Citrix Net Scaler/ADC.
• Network performance analysis using Wireshark, tcpdump, iperf or Solar Winds.
• Knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, ACLs, DDoS mitigation, RADIUS, TACACS+, PKI, SSL/TLS.
• Ability to troubleshoot telecom/peering partner networks and understand vendor escalation paths.
• Experience with highly available, business‑critical infrastructure and incident ticket handling.
• Clear communication skills and experience with Microsoft Azure networking services.
• ITIL knowledge (Incident, Problem, Change) and documentation experience (Visio/Lucidchart).

• Palo Alto Networks certification (PCNSA/PCNSE).
• Azure Network Engineer or Azure Administrator certification.
• Experience with major telecom providers (Lumen, Century Link, Cox, Level 3, Equinix, AT&T).
