Role Summary
Planners are responsible to estimate a timescale for a project and to ensure that the outlined deadlines are met. They work closely with Setter Out, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Logistics to ensure a project runs on schedule and that material supplies are sufficient.
Role Responsibilities Project Planning & Scheduling Support- Assisting in the development of project timelines and detailed schedules for joinery and furniture manufacturing projects, from start to delivery
- Learning to identify critical path activities, dependencies, and potential bottlenecks within the project lifecycle
- Supporting the creation of baseline schedules, dashboards, and tracking reports to monitor project progress
- Acting as a key interface between the Setting-Out department, Procurement, Production, Logistics, Project Management, and external clients/parties
- Facilitating effective communication to ensure all stakeholders are aligned on project status, requirements, and deadlines
- Assisting in managing project correspondence and documentation with external parties
- Collaborating with the Material Engineer and Procurement team to understand material requirements, lead times, and delivery schedules
- Supporting the follow-up and follow-through of orders with the Procurement department, escalating issues and tracking delivery dates
- Supporting the preparation of weekly and monthly progress reports for management review
- Assisting in tracking production progress and coordinating with the production team to resolve any communication or coordination issues
- Learning to perceive project phases and plot dependencies on tracking reports to facilitate organized follow-through
- Contributing to increasing team efficiency by providing operational and administrative support
- Proposing and assisting in implementing innovations in procedures to enhance departmental functionality and output
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Architecture, or Interior Design
- 3-5 years’ Experience in project planning, scheduling, and operations within the manufacturing or construction/fit‑out industry
- Worked on Extension of Time using different techniques
- Baseline Schedules, updates, EVM, Weekly and monthly reports
- Preparing the dashboards
- Worked on Primavera P6, MS Project will be an advantage
- Understanding the proper sequencing of the project
- Working on Multiple projects
