Polishing Supervisor

The role of Polishing Supervisor is responsible for supervising staff painters, communicating daily tasks, and monitoring painting techniques, adherence to specifications, general safety andclean up.

• Obtains work orders for the day,taking time to assure a clear understanding of the job requirements. Organizes and sets a plan of action to complete the assigned tasks, including verifyingjob location and assuring lead and required equipment are ready.
• Verifies adequate team is available and properly prepared for work. Instruct painters on specific job details.
• Ensures all required paintingsupplies, equipment and PPE gear have been properly obtained for the job andassembled in the forefront.
• Ensure all surfaces are properly prepared prior to painting. Oversees team and inspects the quality throughout the day, assuring job is completed in accordance with specifications and standards.
• Assures team is working safely,following safety guidelines, utilizing proper protective equipment, and monitors compliance. Immediately report all unsafe acts and/or equipment to the Manager.
• Completes daily reports. Assuredall required information has been logged.
• Assist workers in mixing andblending paint/Stains.
• Skill in estimating time and material requirements of work projects assigned.
• Understand modern Painttechnologies and materials with the ability to measure quality and consumptionand ensure optimum savings are made.
• Ensuring capacity on shift-basedstandards is optimized on manual and automatic spraying.

• 5+ years of painting industry experience required (Preferred at similar level).
• Should be able to read CAD drawings.
• Solid knowledge of the preparation and application of paints, stains, and surface preparationmaterials to a wide variety of surfaces.
• Familiar with safety guidelines,PPE requirements, and hazardous material handling, application, and disposal.
• Quality minded focus, ability to complete jobs right, the first time.
• Preferably completed High school education or Diploma
