Grab Driver role at Lanes Group

Join us to support Yorkshire Water in maintaining their wastewater network for the next five years and beyond.

• Maintain great customer service and communication
• Adhere to company absence reporting procedure
• Update and complete site documentation using electronic tablet
• Ensure all works are carried out in line with approved method statements and safe system of work
• Carry out site‑specific risk assessments and discuss any changes or amendments with team members and site supervisor
• Perform daily vehicle checks and maintenance to ensure roadworthiness
• Report any issues or hazards by following company procedures
• Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment
• Operate machinery and tools safely and efficiently to assist with various tasks
• Maintain equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition
• Wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE); bring any defects or shortcomings to supervisor’s attention
• Safely operate HGV vehicles, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Deliver concrete, aggregates, and other materials to various locations in a timely manner
• Load and unload materials as required, using appropriate equipment
• Plan efficient routes for deliveries and ensure punctual service
• Communicate effectively with line management and team members to coordinate deliveries efficiently

• Full UK driving license, Class 2 license, CPCS Lorry‑Loader (Required)
• Up to date driver CPC and Digi Tacho (Required)
• NPORS
• Banksman
• Manual Handling
• Emergency First Aid
• NRSWA
• EUSR National Water Hygiene
• Asbestos Awareness
• CPC Driver Training (HGV only)
• Slinger and Signaller
• Abrasive Wheels
• Civils experience on wastewater
