Inventory Control Specialist

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join their remote team, supporting operations in Welkom . This role is critical for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of inventory data across multiple systems. You will be responsible for conducting regular inventory counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing procedures to prevent stock variances. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of inventory management principles, playing a key role in optimizing stock levels and reducing carrying costs for the company.

• Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure data accuracy.
• Investigate and reconcile discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
• Develop and implement procedures to minimize inventory shrinkage and improve stock accuracy.
• Monitor inventory levels and provide reports on stock status, turnover, and potential issues.
• Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to manage stock replenishment and identify slow-moving items.
• Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements in forecasting and stock management.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory control, stock management, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles, cycle counting, and variance analysis.
• Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and remotely, managing time effectively.
• A certificate or degree in a relevant field is beneficial.
