Full‑time or part‑time hours available. Clinical days Monday to Saturday. Working hours 8:00 am–7:00 pm. Position initially offered on a zero‑hour contract, with the opportunity to move into a permanent role.

Smiles Dental Care is part of a well‑established dental group with 100+ surgeries across 35 practices in Northern Ireland and the North West of England. Our Ballymena practice provides high‑quality NHS and private dentistry, including general dentistry, cosmetic treatments, implants, aligners, and restorative care.

This role is ideal for a Dental Nurse who enjoys working as part of a close‑knit clinical team and takes pride in delivering excellent patient care. You will be actively involved chairside, supporting clinicians across a wide range of treatments while helping patients feel comfortable and confident throughout their visit.

• Providing high‑quality chairside assistance to dentists during procedures
• Preparing surgeries, instruments and materials before and after treatments
• Ensuring strict adherence to cross‑infection control and decontamination protocols

• Welcoming and reassuring patients before, during, and after treatment
• Providing post‑operative instructions and oral health advice
• Supporting nervous or anxious patients with a calm, professional approach

• Maintaining accurate patient records and clinical notes
• Assisting with digital charting, radiographs and clinical software systems
• Supporting consent processes and compliance with CQC/GDC standards

• Stock control and equipment checks
• Supporting the wider team to ensure smooth daily clinic operations

• Essential: GDC‑registered Dental Nurse
• Experience:
  
  Previous experience in a dental practice preferred
• Skills:
  
  Strong communication skills and a patient‑focused approach
• Technical Confidence:
  Comfortable using dental software and digital systems
