Maintenance Engineer

Maintenance Engineer Day shift Ballymena Mechanical or Electrical £40686 Vickerstock are working in partnership with one of Northern Ireland's biggest and best-known Manufacturing firms based in Ballymena to assist them with the recruitment of a Maintenance Engineer. Our client has some of the world biggest and best-known brands in their portfolio with further brands expect to partner with them after their expansion.

You will have the benefit of joining a nationally recognised employer of choice who put their teams and people at the forefront of development. Your Responsibilities as a Maintenance Engineer;
Carry out electrician and mechanical maintenance. This will include reactive breakdown and preventative maintenance of conveyor belt systems, shredders, balers and separation equipment. Carry out schedule-based maintenance work on equipment, buildings and services and repairs, overhauls and installations as appropriate. General maintenance and breakdown activities, resolving causes of defects for allocated cell/area Fault find mechanical and/or electrical faults and repair equipment in a breakdown situation.

Deliver sufficient callout support and handovers to ensure reliability and performance of the plant's machinery in line with agreed service levels. Proactively identify and deal rectify potential equipment/services issues Work with other functions as part of the manufacturing team to ensure efficient running of the equipment and prioritize work as agreed. As a Maintenance Engineer, ideally you will have;
Either Mechanical or Electrically qualified. 2 years maintenance experience in a FMCG environment would be ideal.
