The Opportunity A well-established and growing engineering consultancy based in Belfast is seeking to appoint a Mechanical Engineer to join its team. This is a flexible hire, with applications welcomed from Intermediate through to Senior-level professionals, as well as candidates from aligned technical backgrounds who are keen to transition into a design-focused consultancy role. The employer recognises that the right individual may not meet every requirement from day one and is committed to providing training and support where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities Design and develop mechanical building services solutions across a range of projects Assist with mechanical calculations, specifications, and technical documentation Produce and coordinate mechanical drawings and models, including BIM/Revit outputs Work closely with internal teams, clients, and external consultants Support projects through all stages, from concept to delivery Ensure designs comply with relevant standards and best practice Candidate Background This role is open to candidates from a variety of mechanical backgrounds, including:
Mechanical Engineers at Intermediate or Senior level BIM / Revit Technicians with strong mechanical systems knowledge Mechanical tradespeople or installers looking to retrain and move into a design/consultancy environment Applicants whose experience is primarily in mechanical manufacturing or component production may be considered; however, this would require a more extensive period of retraining.
