Accounting Technician

The Role As Accounting Technician, you will support the day-to-day finance operations across both UK and Irish entities. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will take responsibility for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing management accounts, and ensuring smooth month-end processes. This is a highly valued role within the team, offering a strong blend of routine finance tasks alongside broader analytical and reporting duties.

Key Responsibilities Carry out daily finance tasks, including bank reconciliations and maintenance of customer and supplier ledgers Support finance activity across UK and Irish entities Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L analysis and balance sheet reconciliations Prepare VAT returns for review Maintain and update fixed asset registers Support wider finance tasks and contribute to continuous process improvement

The Person We are seeking someone who is diligent, organised, and confident working with numbers. You will be comfortable with bookkeeping principles, enjoy getting the detail right, and take pride in delivering accurate information on time. Skills & Experience Experience in accounts preparation and transactional finance Strong understanding of bookkeeping fundamentals Confident working with Excel (including essential formulas) Experience using accounting software (Sage desirable but not essential) Relevant qualification is beneficial but not required QBE, part-qualified, or IATI all welcome Strong attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and commitment to delivering high-quality work Someone who aligns with the organisations values and demonstrates them consistently Next Steps If youre an experienced Accounting Technician looking for a varied, hands-on role within a supportive and growing organisation, we would love to hear from you.
