Job Summary
The Senior Endowment ;
Fund Accountant is the team’s senior technical accountant, owning the accounting for the

- Maintain unitized/pooled-fund accounting; allocate investment income, gains/losses, and fees (including the administrative fee) to funds.
- Calculate and post the annual endowment payout under the spending policy; monitor UPMIFA compliance and underwater funds.
- Track restricted-fund balances, releases from restriction, and available balances; support fund-usage and donor-level reporting.
- Maintain fund data (donor criteria and available balances) for endowed scholarship funds and provide those balances and criteria to Financial Aid/ EMASS , which owns the full scholarship application-to-disbursement process.
- Reconcile investment and endowment activity to custodian statements; prepare investment schedules and fair-value footnotes for the audit.
- Operate and maintain the endowment management software and its integration with the general ledger.
- Review endowed-gift setup and endowment-related entries recorded by the Staff Accountant, and partner with the AR Manager and Advancement on endowed-gift setup.
