Travel RN - Labor & Delivery

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift assignment requiring C-EFM certification and at least one prior travel assignment.

• Active MD or Compact RN license required
• Certifications required: C-EFM (NCC), BLS, NRP, STABLE
• ACLS certification preferred
• 3 years of L&D experience preferred, 2 years with strong experience may be considered
• 2 years of recent experience within the last 7 years required
• Must have completed at least one travel assignment
• Scrub experience preferred
• Skills include IV therapy, blood product administration, amnioinfusion, high-risk and vaginal delivery assistance, C-section circulating and scrubbing, and fetal monitoring (external and internal)
• Experience with antepartum, postpartum, and newborn care preferred
• Two supervisory references required, including one from the most recent assignment
• Flu vaccine required

• Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Night shift schedule (3x12, 18:50-07:20)
• Every other weekend required
• Call required: 2 shifts per 6-week schedule
• Floating to Mother/Baby expected if qualified
• Charge experience preferred
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Provide comprehensive labor, delivery, and postpartum nursing care including fetal monitoring and newborn assessments
• Assist with high-risk deliveries, C-sections, and obstetric emergencies
• Support breastfeeding and postpartum recovery care
• No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
• Maximum of 7 RTO days per 13-week contract
• Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower rate
• Previous Med Star employees must have a minimum one-year separation before returning as a traveler
• Must have completed at least one travel assignment to be considered
