Architectural Assistant County Down £30-35k

Our client based in South Down is recruiting for an Architectural Assistant/CAD Technician to join their team, working closely with experienced architects on a variety of projects from concept to completion.

You will develop projects using a variety digital tools, drawings and models, and be expected to contribute to the design process with fresh ideas and design solutions.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to confidently present their design ideas using a range of media.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical designs and production information with guidance from the project lead
• Incorporate technical information and regulatory requirements into design and production drawings
• Contribute to internal design reviews at an early stage and at key points in the design process
• Development of preferred concepts into presentation standard models, drawings and reports
• Creation of CAD Design from concept through to production

Requirements

• Ability to produce coherent and well resolved architectural designs
• Knowledge of building technologies, regulations and planning applications
• Knowledge of technical standards, regulatory frameworks and health & safety requirements
• Understanding of duty of care arising from the relationships between client and architects and consultants, employer and employees
• Excellent 2D / 3D CAD skills
