Business Systems Engineer

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring seamless integration of CATIA-based design workflows with enterprise systems such as ERP/MRP, supporting efficient product development and manufacturing operations.

• Develop and maintain CATIA V6 3D Experience systems including all Admin functions
• Implement PLM integration for design data management and version control
• Support simulation and validation processes for mechanical and structural components
• Ensure compliance with GD&T, aerospace standards, and internal design guidelines
• Collaborate with others in the IT and engineering teams to integrate CAD/PLM systems with enterprise platforms
• Work with 3rd party suppliers and managing support contracts
• Analyse and improve business workflows related to engineering
• Assist teams in working between Catia and MRP/ERP systems for BOM loading
• Adopt the ‘One-Team’ approach to work collaboratively both within the department and across the Organisation
• Ensure all records relating to Requests, Incidents, Problems and Knowledge Management are completed accurately and within agreed timeframe
• Participate in on site customer/supplier audits as required
• Prioritise tasks to ensure productivity, quality & improvement targets are met in accordance with set KPI’s

• Third level qualification in computer science or IT related subject
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a relevant role
• A good working knowledge of PC hardware, windows desktop software and office products
• Understanding of server hardware, windows server 2022, VMware, CISCO Networking and SANs
• Proven experience with CATIA V5/V6 and PLM systems (e.g., ENOVIA)
• Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems and business process mapping
• Knowledge of GD&T, aerospace manufacturing standards, and compliance requirements
• Excellent problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills
• The ability to undertake project work from idea to implementation and to deliver against deadlines and agreed targets
• Knowledge and understanding of best practice framework (such as ITIL, ISO
  20k) for the delivery of IT services
• A current driver’s licence and own transport is required
• Out of Hours work may be a requirement, from time to time, in this role
• Participation in the on-call rota

• A background in application support, specifically Catia V5/V6
• MRP / ERP application support experience
• Previous experience of working on a manufacturing environment
