Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic Practice Nurse to complement the role of the GP and other Health Professionals and be an integral part and key member of the care team. You will use your clinical skills within the practice to promote well‑being and maximise health gain for patients and provide a safe, high‑quality and accessible treatment room service to our registered patients.

PML is a successful not‑for‑profit, GP‑led organisation providing NHS community and primary care services across Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire. We employ around 300 staff with a turnover of circa £16 m, hold GMS contracts and represent around 650 000 patients. Contract:
£35,000 to £40,000 a year FTE, depending on experience.

Full‑time (or part‑time on flexible basis).

- Assess problems presented opportunistically by patients.
- Provide continuing care to patients across the practice population.
- Initiate laboratory requests, collect specimens and interpret results.
- Perform holistic assessment and care for ear irrigation, cervical cytology, wound management and minor surgery.
- Advise on vaccinations and injections in accordance with national programmes.
- Assist with cardio‑pulmonary resuscitation and anaphylaxis management.
- Maintain accurate records, infection control and confidentiality.
- Communicate effectively with primary health care team members.
- Carry out any other duties relevant to the post.
- Registered with the NMC.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience.
- Certification of competency in child immunisation.
- Certification of competency in cytology.
- Certification of competency in travel vaccination.
- General Certificate in Practice (Research).
- Diabetes diploma.
- Independent Prescriber.
- Clear understanding of clinical governance and guidelines.
- Experience working in a Primary Care Setting and GP practice.
- Experience working in multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Experience with patients with long‑term conditions.
- Experience using Emis Web.
- Asthma/COPD experience.
- Complex wound care experience.
- Experience working with young children.
- Supervisor/Assessor/Mentor experience.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Physical examination skills.
- Influencing and assertiveness skills.
- Understands the importance of team working.
- Commitment to ongoing training and development.
- Immunisation skills.
- Able to work with patients and staff in emotional circumstances.
- Able to make clinical judgments involving complex facts or situations.
- Able to meet deadlines.
- Good time management.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word.
- Flexible and adaptable to change.
