We're a well-established Australian accounting firm, led by a dedicated CPA-qualified owner, seeking to expand our operations by expanding our Indian accounting and finance team in Bengaluru, India.

Shift: 6 am IST to 3.30 pm IST

As our Accounting & Finance Team member, you will:

Initially:
Work closely with the Aussie team to immerse yourself in accounting systems and processes (Xero, BGL 360, Now infinity, Xero tax etc.). We'll provide comprehensive training, but your ability to learn quickly is essential.
Assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and adherence to Australian accounting standards.

As you progress:
Proactively identify process improvements and implement innovative solutions.
Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and the owner, both verbally and in writing.

Key Responsibilities:

Expert knowledge of Xero, BGL and Xero tax. We predominantly use Xero and Xero tax.
Bank and credit cards Reconciliations
Preparation of Depreciation Schedule in BGL
360 and/or Xero
Finalization of Accounts
Various other ledgers' reconciliation (Balance sheet and Income statement)
Ledger scrutiny ensuring integrity
Liaising with ATO and ASIC related to client queries
Preparation of Accountant Letter
Structures including SMSF, Trusts and companies creation for clients in ASIC using Now infinity.
Preparing tax returns for all types of entities i.e.,

· self-managed super fund,

· Individual,

· Company,

· Partnership,

· Trust
Preparation of GST Reconciliation for BAS (Business Activity Statement)
Follow up with Clients over email or calls → You are expected to follow up with clients directly. Hence strong verbal and written skills are key for this role.
ATO Payment Plan Set up, Refund Process, Interest and Penalties Waived off

Who We're Looking For:
CA Inter with a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in  accounting firm
Proven track record of accuracy, attention to detail, and strong analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This is critical to the role as you are expected to interact and communicate with clients
A passion for learning and a willingness to embrace new challenges.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience with Xero, Xero Tax, BGL 360, Now infinity, and Office 365 a plus, but not mandatory.
