Job Description
This role is pivotal in minimizing business risk by executing and continuously enhancing robust Disaster Recovery (DR) testing strategies for IT Services. The scope includes applications, infrastructure, documentation, tools, utilities, and the critical skill sets that underpin business operations. The incumbent will play a key role in ensuring organizational readiness for disaster scenarios by supporting the DR team and broader IT function in maintaining a state of constant preparedness.
In the event of a declared disaster, this role will coordinate and lead recovery activities in alignment with established DR plans and processes, ensuring timely and effective restoration of IT services within predefined recovery objectives. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive mindset, strong planning capabilities, and a collaborative approach to strengthen the organization's resilience posture.
Responsibilities
DR Plan creation, test planning and exercising
Author of Policy, Procedure, Runbooks
Identify risks and opportunities for capability.
Responsible for ITDR testing schedule and execution including review and signoff of review schedule, run books and supporting artefacts)
Responsible to ensure delivery of legacy activities (Site Tests, On-Premise DR Tests and Failovers)
Support EWT R&R audit aligned calendar and audit requirements
Ensure readiness for all regulatory requirements
Manage third party dependencies, such as SaaS vendor recovery plans and Incident Response

Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience:
10 to 13 years of relevant professional experience in IT Disaster Recovery (DR) and/or Business Continuity.
Proven experience in leading moderately complex technology environments through both simulated and actual disaster scenarios.
Demonstrated expertise in DR test planning, execution, and continuous improvement of organizational DR capabilities.
Familiarity with IT DR automation tools is preferred.
Strong process orientation with working knowledge of ITIL's IT Service Continuity Management and agile methodologies.
Industry-recognized certifications in Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, or related domains are a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization.
Strong leadership and team development capabilities, with a focus on customer service and collaboration.
Exceptional troubleshooting and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
Experience in resource planning aligned with organizational strategies and recovery objectives.
