The role involves facilitating and owning user manual creation and maintenance across various aspects of product usage, authoring and publishing product documentation for different software and hardware specifications, and conducting audience analysis.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with various Managers and stakeholders to generate instructional and user guides.
Edit and update all published and in-queue technical documentation as per marketing guidelines.
Produce documents with infographics that are engaging, easy-to-read, and visually-appealing to readers.
Communicate effectively with peers and other leaders to drive efficient documents.
Extract and gather information needed to produce effective Help for software features by interviewing internal staff, using our mechanical software and hardware products and features, and researching existing literature.
Take ownership of and drive the complete Help production process, including information gathering, draft production, draft revisions, technical and editorial reviews, and final proofing.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or closely related technical discipline.
Must be from the BMS domain.
5+ years in technical content creation and ownership.
Required Skills
Transforming highly technical information provided by developers into understandable, concise Help for the end-user.
Producing short videos, including scripting, video capture, and video editing tasks.
Working comfortably with a variety of software tools, including version control systems, structured authoring systems, project tracking software, video production software, graphics editing packages, video conferencing, etc.
Ability to work under pressure of competing priorities, approaching deadlines, changing feature designs, and missing or incomplete specifications.
An extremely high technical aptitude.
Insanely superb written and verbal communication skills and a high level of professionalism.
Strong time management skills.
A fast learner, comfortable teaching yourself new skills and thriving in a complex and fast-paced environment.
A love for analytics and various User experience aspects.
Detail-oriented and highly motivated approach.
Quality-first approach for documents produced.
Desire for continuous learning and improvement.
Desire to work outside comfort zone.
Preferred Skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Must be able to seek input when required, prioritize and drive results.
Knowledge of modern agile processes and optimization.
Excellent computer literacy (Outlook, Excel, Sharepoint).

Ability to translate complex business requirements into simple, elegant technical solutions.
Highly collaborative approach to technical document delivery from the standpoint of business domain and requirements.
