Desktop Engineer - Bengaluru

Location: Bengaluru

Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and related peripherals via on-site and remote methods.

· Troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade hardware components, including installation of RAM and disks in rack servers.

· Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently for end users, including desktop applications such as browsers, email clients, and productivity tools.

· Perform routine preventive maintenance, repairs, and upgrades for all IT assets to ensure smooth functioning and compliance.

· Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems (Windows, Linux) on new or existing desktops and laptops; image systems if required.

· Provide user support for installing, configuring, and troubleshooting applications and software.

· Set up, replace, and move endpoint devices, complying with enterprise standards (desktop/laptop hardware, printers, phones, and other peripherals).

· Assist with server room tasks including adding or replacing server components and troubleshooting basic rack server issues.

Required Skills  
· Experience in desktop/laptop/printer hardware support and basic server upgrades (RAM, disk).

· Proficiency in installation and troubleshooting of operating systems (Windows/Linux/Mac).

· Familiarity with enterprise applications, desktop software (Microsoft Office, browsers, email clients, antivirus), and installation procedures.

· Physical ability to carry IT equipment, rack/unrack server components, and run network cables as required.
