2–5 years of experience in ETL / Data Platform Production Support roles.
Strong exposure to production environments supporting data pipelines and batch jobs.
Required Skills
Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks and/or Snowflake in a production support setup.
Strong working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments.
Hands-on experience in Shell / Bash / Unix scripting for monitoring, automation, and troubleshooting.
Good understanding of ETL workflows, data pipelines, and batch processing .
Proficiency in SQL for data validation, reconciliation, and issue resolution.
Experience with ticketing tools such as Service Now, BMC Remedy, AOTS, or similar.
Familiarity with monitoring tools like Kibana, ADX, or equivalent platforms.
Basic understanding of Azure Cloud services related to data engineering.
Good communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to coordinate across teams.
Roles and Responsibilities
Provide L1/L2 ETL production support for data pipelines running on Azure Databricks and Snowflake.
Monitor batch jobs, data loads, and workflows; identify failures and performance issues.
Perform advanced troubleshooting of ETL failures, data discrepancies, and pipeline issues.
Use SQL and scripting to analyze data issues, rerun jobs, and apply fixes where required.
Coordinate with development, data engineering, and platform teams to resolve production issues.
Ensure issues are resolved within SLA timelines and document root cause analysis (RCA).
Support production deployments , job scheduling, and release activities.
Participate in 24×7 support rotations , including weekends and holidays.
Lead or actively participate in outage calls , ensuring timely communication and resolution.
Drive continuous improvement through automation, monitoring enhancements, and process optimization .
