Capability Leader Azure (Data & AI)

Key Responsibilities
1. Practice Growth and Strategy digital roadmap. Drive practice revenue growth through new client acquisitions, account mining, and expansion opportunities. Develop differentiating solutions that position Mastech as a strategic Azure partner to enterprise clients.
2. Microsoft Ecosystem and Partnership Leadership Build and strengthen relationships with Microsoft field and partner teams. Drive co-sell motions, joint GTM (go-to-market) initiatives, and achieve advanced partnership specializations. Represent Mastech in Microsoft partner programs, solution showcases, and industry forums.
3. Solution Architecture and Complex Pursuits Lead solution architecture for large and complex Azure Data & AI engagements. Collaborate with sales and delivery teams to design scalable, cost effective, and differentiated solutions. Participate in customer discussions and help translate technology into tangible business outcomes.
4. Delivery Excellence and Client Success Govern the portfolio of Azure engagements ensuring on-time, high-quality delivery and client satisfaction. Monitor key metrics such as NPS, referenceability, and project profitability. Institutionalize best practices, accelerators, and reusable frameworks to improve delivery efficiency.
5. Thought Leadership and Market Positioning Establish Mastech as a thought leader in Azure Data & AI through publications, webinars, and conference participation. Collaborate with marketing to publish success stories, whitepapers, and client case studies. Build visibility and recognition within the Microsoft and Data & AI ecosystem.
6. People and Capability Development Build and retain a high-performing team with strong Azure technical capabilities. Drive certification programs, learning initiatives, and succession planning.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Key Performance Indicators (KRAs)
Revenue Growth: Practice revenue and margin growth from new and existing clients.
Microsoft Partnership Maturity :
Number of co-sell wins, specializations, and joint GTM
achievements.
Thought Leadership: Published content, analyst mentions, and industry presence.
Client Satisfaction: NPS and referenceable client base.
Team Health: Certification attainment, retention of key talent, and team engagement
scores.
Ideal Candidate Profile
15
-20 years of experience in Data & AI, with at least 5 7 years in Azure-focused leadership
roles.
Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure ecosystem (Data Platform, AI/ML, Synapse, Fabric,
Power BI, etc.).
Proven track record in practice building, strategic partnerships, and delivery governance.
Demonstrated ability to engage with CxO-level stakeholders and influence business outcomes.
Excellent people leadership and communication skills, with a balance of strategic and hands-on execution.
