Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced DB2 LUW Administrator to manage, support, and optimize DB2 LUW database environments. This role requires strong expertise in database administration, automation, and customer-focused service delivery, along with the ability to work collaboratively across technical and business teams.
Core Responsibilities
Install, configure, administer, and maintain DB2 LUW databases in production and non-production environments.
Perform database performance monitoring, tuning, capacity planning, and troubleshooting.
Manage database backup, recovery, and high-availability solutions.
Support and manage data replication using IBM IIDR or similar CDC-based replication technologies.
Develop and maintain shell scripts to automate routine DBA tasks.
Implement and manage configuration management and automation using Ansible.
Work closely with application, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure database stability and performance.
Provide high-quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Document procedures, standards, and best practices for database administration.
Participate in project planning, migrations, upgrades, and system enhancements.
Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 7+ years of hands-on experience as a DB2 LUW Administrator.
Strong experience with IBM DB2 LUW on RHEL environments.
Experience with IBM IIDR or similar CDC-based data replication technologies.
Proficiency in shell scripting (bash, ksh, csh, Python, Perl).
Strong experience with automation and configuration management tools (Ansible).
Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives.
Excellent customer service orientation with a focus on stakeholder satisfaction.
Strong verbal and written communication skills across technical and non-technical audience
