Informatica EDC Specialist
Must have skill:
Experience in Informatica EDC and metadata management.
Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, data quality principles, and compliance standards.
Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and integration with data lake (HDFS, Hive) and data warehouse (Greenplum).
Familiarity with ETL tools (Informatica Power Center, BDM) and streaming platforms (Kafka).
Knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and PII masking techniques.
Good to have:
Exposure to cloud-native architectures and hybrid data environments is a plus.
Roles and responsivities:
The Senior Informatica EDC Specialist will lead the implementation and management of Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC) to enable enterprise-wide metadata discovery, lineage visualization, and governance. This role ensures compliance with data privacy regulations, supports data quality initiatives, and integrates EDC with data lake (HDFS), data warehouse (Greenplum), and ETL pipelines (Informatica Power Center, Kafka). The position is critical for improving data trust, discoverability, and governance automation.
Implement, configure, and maintain Informatica EDC for metadata management and data lineage across data ecosystem.
Define and enforce data standards, governance policies , and compliance frameworks (GDPR, PII masking).
Integrate EDC with data quality tools, MDM systems , and ETL workflows (Informatica Power Center, BDM).
Collaborate with data architects, governance teams, and BI teams to ensure semantic consistency and metadata accuracy.
Customize EDC to support business glossaries, classifications, and lineage visualization .
Provide technical support, training, and enablement for catalog users and data stewards.
Support roadmap initiatives for observability, policy automation , and multi-cloud integration
