Qualification:

M.Sc. in Food Science and Nutrition

Experience:

Minimum of  2 years  of experience in clinical or field-based nutrition research
Required Competencies &

Skills:

Strong technical, analytical, and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work  independently  as well as within a  collaborative research team
Attention to detail and time management
Experience in  scientific writing , including manuscripts and project proposals
Familiarity with  standard research protocols  and SOP adherence
Proficient in using research tools and data entry platforms

Roles and Responsibilities:

Project Coordination
Manage and oversee research project activities both at  SJRI  and the  field site in Shivamogga
Participant Interaction & Data Collection
Recruit study participants and conduct interviews, surveys, and nutritional assessments
Handle infants and children during assessments in a sensitive and professional manner
Data Management
Ensure accurate and timely data entry into the project database
Maintain data integrity, confidentiality, and quality throughout the study
Assist in identifying and resolving data discrepancies or inconsistencies
Technical Support
Provide assistance in setting up and calibrating instruments for nutritional assessments
Ensure all procedures are in compliance with established SOPs and protocols
Monitoring & Field Work
Participate in regular field visits to monitor study implementation and ensure protocol adherence
Research Output & Reporting
Contribute to technical reports, presentations, and manuscripts
Support the development of project proposals for funding
Additional Support
Collaborate on other ongoing studies within the  Division of Nutrition  as needed
