Carpet Fitter

Gate Interiors Ltd is seeking a carpet fitter to join their team. The role involves training in site health and safety, working alongside other trades, and developing skills in measuring flooring areas, creating cutting plans manually and using computer systems. You will learn to identify the appropriate type of flooring, such as felt back and grips, and gain experience creating and managing work schedules that meet client requirements while ensuring timely material procurement.

In addition, the position provides training in fitting all aspects of carpets, equipping you with the practical skills needed to deliver high-quality projects.

• Measuring areas for flooring.
• Create cutting plans both manually and using computer systems.
• Identify the appropriate type of flooring required, such as felt back and grips.
• Creating and managing schedules of work to align with client requirements.
• Fitting all aspects of carpet.

• Full training will be provided.
• Experience on sites.

Working hours:

up to 25 hours per week. Flexible/reduced hours may be available upon approval by a Work Coach. Extra hours may be offered depending on availability and should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment.
