Position:
Quantity Surveyor (NEC)
Location:
Dagenham, Essex
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to work within a well-established infrastructure business on a high-profile project. You will be a key member of the commercial team, using your extensive knowledge of NEC contracts to ensure the successful financial management of the project to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Strategy:
Develop, implement, and manage procurement strategies for various work packages, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with project goals
Administering the NEC contract, including managing compensation events and claims.
Providing commercial support and advice to the project team.
Managing and controlling project costs and budgets.
Preparing and submitting interim payment applications.
Negotiating and agreeing final accounts.
Key Requirements:
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
Strong and practical knowledge of NEC contracts is essential.
Experience in managing projects from start to finish.
Relevant degree and/or professional qualification (e.g., RICS) is desirable.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
