Candidates will be expected to have some post-qualification experience and experience in Emergency Medicine at Junior Clinical Fellow level will be desirable, but not essential. It is also desirable for the candidate to have completed FY2 competencies. The successful candidates will also be encouraged to take their full study leave allowance to allow career progression defined at the structured training meetings.
Mainduties of the job
The post holder will join a busy department with staff including 14 consultants, 5 ST4 (SpR), 2 ACCS (ST1), 1 GPVTS, 13 FY2 trainees, 22 Junior Clinical Fellows and 19 Specialty Doctors.
The appointee will gain a wide variety of clinical exposure in general medical, surgical and other specialty presentations.
The department has a strong commitment to high standards of patient care and an established reputation in postgraduate training and clinical research.

Person Specification Education & professional Qualifications- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
- Full registration with the GMC at time of appointment
- Completed and accredited Foundation Year 1 competences
- Emergency Medicine Experience at SHO grade
- Good Clinical skills and broad clinical knowledge
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Safe care;

Practical skills;
Work effectively - ALS, ATLS and APLS
- Audit skills
- Demonstrable ability to meet the Trust values
