To work as an autonomous practitioner within the multidisciplinary Pelvic Health Service at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust based at Barnet and Chase Farm Hospital.
To provide a highly specialised assessment and intervention for own varied caseload of outpatients within the speciality of Pelvic Health conditions, including male and female patients who may have highly complex presentations, with the aim of facilitating short and long-term self management approaches to their condition.
To be involved in the development of the Pelvic Health Service in consultation with the Clinical Team Lead, striving to ensure maximum efficiency, productivity, and cost effectiveness.
To supervise, teach and appraise senior, junior, assistant and student physiotherapists as appropriate.
To supervise, initiate and participate in evidence-based projects and lead in-service trainings.
We are looking for a Band 7 Pelvic Health Physiotherapist to support an enthusiastic, experienced and well-established pelvic health physiotherapy team. The successful candidate will be expected to:
Assess and treat patients with pelvic floor dysfunction and musculoskeletal obstetric conditions.
Act as Team Lead for the Barnet and Chase Farm site supporting the clinical lead with service development and data collection.
The successful candidate is required to be able demonstrate the Trust values, the responsibilities of the job description and person specification. In particular you should have proven experience of working in pelvic health physiotherapy and involvement in service development.

Person Specification Skills and Aptitudes- Excellent communication skills with a range of patients and healthcare professionals regarding complex and sensitive issues
- Highly effective written communication skills
- Demonstrable ability to meet the Trust Values
- BSc Degree in Physiotherapy or Diploma or equivalent
- Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration for profession
- Evidence or portfolio of postgraduate continued development in specialist clinical area
- Evidence of study or intention to study at Master's level
- Membership of specialist interest group
- Substantial postgraduate experience at a Band 6 level or equivalent including within specialist area
- Knowledge and experience of a wide range of approaches for the management of patients within specialist clinical area
- Awareness of cognitive behavioural approaches to rehabilitation
- Experience of group work
- Previous experience of junior staff & student supervision/ clinical education
- Experience of leading a team
- Experience of clinical audit and/or research
- Evidence of active involvement in service development & contribution to change within the workplace
- Experience of teaching to unidisciplinary/ multidisciplinary groups

£53,751 to £60,651 a year
Per annum inclusive of HCAS ( part time- pro-rata )
