As a Manager, you will oversee client relationships, co‑lead and mentor a team of accountants, and drive the firm’s strategic goals. You will receive mentorship and a structured development plan.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a portfolio of clients of varying size, providing high quality accounting, tax and advisory services.
- Co‑lead and mentor a team of accountants, ensuring their development and performance.
- Contribute to business development, identifying growth opportunities including group‑wide cross‑business referrals.
- Work closely with current Directors and Partners to shape the future of the firm.
- Oversee compliance and ensure exceptional client service.
- Proactive, organised, excellent communicator, forward‑thinking, self‑motivated, confident, ambitious.
- ACA or ACCA qualified with a strong background in practice (ideally 3+ years PQE) as an experienced Senior Accountant, Manager, Senior Manager or salaried associate.
- Able to manage own workloads and lead team development.
- Ambition to step into a leadership role and clear vision for career progression.
- Strong IT skills (Office 365, Sage, Xero, Quick Books etc.).
- Fully adept with account preparation programmes, preferably IRIS and MyWorkpapers.
- Proven ability to manage a portfolio of mixed clients and business development in an environment focused on accounts, tax and advisory work.
- Previous client‑facing role including meeting with prospective clients.
- Salary up to £50,000 depending on experience.
- Full study support if required (e.g., CTA).
- 37.5 hours per week (possibility of flexible working 10:30–16:00 core hours).
