gap technical are proud to be representing this manufacturing business in their search for a Senior Design Engineer / Design Manager to work at their facility based in South Yorkshire.

Performance Objectives

• As a Technical Director/Design Manager reporting directly to the Board you will be responsible for all technical aspects of projects including producing steelwork designs using the latest technology/design software
• Technical expertise must be outstanding, looking for an individual who can support this with strong leadership skills and the ability to train/encourage other team members.
• Experience in value/cost engineering in both design and fabrication is important in addition to your ability share experiences and develop new ideas with others.
• There is a clear career and fast progression route for the successful candidate.

Person Specification

• A degree qualified Chartered Structural Engineer is preferred
• Substantial experience in the structural steel industry with a bias towards portal frames.
• 5-10 years experience working in a similar role is essential
