We have a new position for a part-time Dispenser to join our friendly GP practice team. You will be working at our branch surgery in South Hiendley. Minimum of an NVQ level 2 in dispensing is essential, along with up to date IT skills. Previous experience of GP practice dispensing and the use of Systm One is desirable. A full clean driving licence is also essential as when our delivery person is unavailable you may be expected to deliver a small amount of prescriptions to our housebound patients.
Mainduties of the job
You should be able to deliver efficient dispensing according to the practice Standard Operating Procedures, have the ability to work independently and on your own initiative but also as part of the wider team. Excellent organisational and time management skills are essential with the ability to work well under pressure, while ensuring compliance with legal and professional requirements and guidance. Salary to be dependent upon experience and will be discussed gery working hours are between 8.30am and 6.30pm Monday to Friday.
About usAn exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a Dispenser/ Receptionist at South Hiendley Surgery.
We are a busy and friendly Practice located in Havercroft, Wakefield and are a GP Training Practice. South Hiendley is our branch surgery.
We have three Partners and three Salaried GPs who are supported by other clinicians and an admin/reception team, who work closely together to ensure that our 8,600 patients receive a high standard of care.
We are part of Wakefield Health Alliance South - Primary Care Network and work closely with the other practices who are also part of the same PCN.
You will be responsible for the smooth running of our branch surgery and the dispensing of medicines there, in accordance with the Practice's Standard Operating Procedures and with the support of a GP. You will complete necessary paperwork at the month end, in preparation for the submission of prescriptions to the PPA. Excellent communication skills are necessary in order to assist patients at our branch surgery and support the clinical staff to provide a high standard of care to them.
PersonSpecification Qualifications
- Minimum of Level 2 Dispensing qualification
- Good knowledge of IT
- Full clean driving licence
- Past experience of GP dispensing practice
- Experience of Systm One
