Job Description

We are looking for an energetic and dynamic person to join the E&B Systems Team. This is a permanent role within our development team. The position offers a wide variety of work and transferable skills, focused on supporting and delivering technical digital solutions that address business problems and aid major digital transformation. We want someone who understands how digital tools can enhance our regulatory work and helps build and support solutions for frontline staff.

The successful candidate will be a flexible individual who manages themselves and can lead technical development areas and solutions. The team focuses on regulatory services and technical solutions that support the Environment Agency. Comfortable working in dispersed project groups is essential.

The team is a dispersed, flexible resource working across digital and business activity areas. We provide digital product development and configuration services, a support service to Operations staff covering business systems and technologies, and we contribute to cross‑cutting and high‑risk projects. We deliver innovative, integrated outcomes, connecting the business to the IT needed to deliver benefits for the environment and providing a critical intelligent client role in digital IT services and operational activities.

• Skills in digital product management or experience as an environmental practitioner.
• Comfortable with tools such as Power Platform, SharePoint, DCP, Canvas Apps, Microsoft Access and application configuration.
• Skilled at addressing the needs of internal and external customers.
• Good understanding of business problems and the ability to think innovatively to develop solutions.
• Strong technical skills and ability to convey that understanding to non‑technical clients.
• Ability to collaborate with customers and develop and sustain partner relationships.
